I am very pleased, Rogue.
Additional info about the fitment problem mentioned in this thread:
I was talking jetting with Q a couple days ago and he mentioned that he did some additional fit checking regarding the fitment issue a few have seen. He did find the problem on one of the pipes he has. Seems that the lower tab wasn't sufficiently tacked on a some of the pipes. That let the tab come out of square when the full bead was ran.
It really wasn't a problem to fit. Just a spacer on the bottom and egging out the mount hole of the factory isolator for the upper. It is hanging on my quad nicely now.
If you pay that much for a pipe, there should be NO fitment issues whatsoever.
Whats the going rate for one of dem pipes?
Deebo: I had the option of sending it back. Q worked with me to figure out what was going on via email pictures and phone calls. There is always the potential of fitment issues on 20+ year old machines that could have tweaked frames... So, it isn't good to make a snap judgement and send it back, only to determine it was a machine problem and not a pipe problem and now the pipe just cost you an extra $100 in shipping. The pipe fits fine and I didn't have to modify it at all. I am good with it. Also, I was able to use it on a planned trip that weekend!
Dezsled: Less than a Hall pipe, more than an Aaen!
I am Still Going NUTZ Trying to Think Of If i Want to Order a Pipe from him or not! I Need my Pipe to be Flat Black. SO if i get his i would have to Remove all the Nickel finish.
I may also make my own. (I have made one b4 Hydroforming for my Antique yz400 ) But i want to Weld one up i think. (am a Extremely good welder) And I know someone in the City that has a AAEN Pipe that i can Some what Copy
take any side by side pics of the pipes?
Maybe we could have a pipe thread. Show all the pipes in pictures. I have my HPR off the quad right now and would be willing to take a picture however it would be easiest to get other similiar pictures. I know I'm curious on the Q v1 vs v2 vs HPR. It would help new LT500 owners understand the differences in pipes.... while saving up to buy one
Q told me I could send it back if I didn't want to fix it. He made some suggestions and I said I would do it myself. It took like 20 minutes to do.
I am posting up a video of my Q2 piped 500 running around. Its a handful!! Front end comes flying up right up. I really like that I barely have to get into the throttle and it goes fast. I couldn't br happier with the results.

I had to add this little spacer at the bottom mount. I happen to have the perfect spacer in the garage. This is the new lower mount.

I asked Mat whats up with this bracket, he said they made the jig with rubber isolator on the frame not on the pipe, if you flip it, should fit fine without the spacer.
Well I had a spacer and damnit I was going to use it! There was a reason I saved that in my mountain of misc parts!!
