oversize
« on: September 13, 2016, 04:49:22 pm »
Hi guys, I recently oversized my 500 88, 88mm to 89mm. I want to know if i need a bigger jet in the carb. IT was running good before the compression problem. Now It run good at low thru mid range but after that, it run like they missing gas or air. i just do the oversize, no more modif on it. I run FMF pipe and silencer, 38mm mikuni and radvalve with boysen proseries reeds. Run with the airbox no lid with KN filter.
Tks

Should you have to rejet for doing an overbore job, no.
Should you check your jetting, yes.

Also check your jetting when you do something. Better safe than sorry.

Your jetting usually changes as your compression changes.

You can always try it and see how it does with a bigger jet in it.

If it does not work then you can always go back.
