Ltr500 voltage regulator

Ltr500 voltage regulator. Is this needed if your not running lights or the on off switch block. I'm only going to run the lanyard

Lonestar outlaw lrd ported 265 national ,custom dynoport exhaust etc
1992 hybrid,Bartlett trail port ,custom dynoport
Lonestar lt250. Bartlett 285 with curtis sparks porting and custom dynoport

Volt reg is just there to prevent your lights from burning out.  So, if you're not running lights, you won't need one.
