The headlight puts out some light!

What brand hid bulb/kit did you use & how much was the conversion?

55watt kit from ddm tuning, it was about 60 bucks.  Shipped direct from china.  Shipping cost is 1/3 of the 60.
It seems to works ok, lots of these kits used by many. The bulb has a half shield reflector with this in place it helps direct light.  I know there is still lots of stray light but it was cheap.

What is anything in the electrical system did you have to modify to run the HID.

I used rogue's wiring setup. I added a rectifier regulator a relay for the light.  Also added a battery. Took a while to wire it all up.

The pattern looks great, since the reflector wasn't designed for the hid bulb.

Looks like a lot more light than stock  (Y)

Firestik 6 foot whip about 20 bucks.
10 feet for clear heat shrink under 10 bucks.
5 meters of water proof led strip adhesive backed, about 12 bucks.
Spring mount 5 buck.

Total about 50.

Tribal whip 6 foot is 85.

So I saved about 35.

If you spend a little more and get the led strip that has the color changing feature with remote. It would be even cooler.

Nice and bright.  I like the headlight and the whip.

Did you ever get your transmission issues sorted out?

Well we did one night ride this past weekend.  The light and whip worked great.  Thanks go out to Rogue and Kennerz for the help.  The only issue is the battery is a bit heavy, I can feel it the front end doesnt come up as easy.  When is does come up is goes down a bit harder.
