Find out the rules for your local track.  I'm sure you will be required to have nerf bars and a tether kill switch.  Make your quad low, proper tires, probably a sway bar.  Gearing will depend upon length of track and power.

I flat track mine and this is what I did. 300EX shocks in the front and yamaha warrior rear shock ( need the ones with the remote bottle). I found a used sway bar  ( it is a linkage bar that essentially links both sides of the front suspension.....left side goes up, the bar pushes the right side down). I also recently cut 2" out of my swingarm to get more traction down. Stock suspension will be fine to start with. Just go out and get some tires and start from there. it's a blast!

when I put those shocks on will they bolt right on  our is there any cutting and welding that's gotta happen and does the sway bar mount to the frame  or just the two shock mounts its hard to see

The shocks bolt right up. I think I had to add spacers on the bottom of the fronts cause the Honda mounts were not as wide. Rear bolted right up just had to put the remote bottle on the frame. My sway bar mounts to the upper A arms (it's a older Rands sway bar) Newer ones bolt to the frame or bumper mounts
