The stock 85 86 ovel swingarm has a bad design flaw they always break at the back underside underneath the bearing carrier. 95% of them are **** broken or repaired in the same area. As you probably already know in 87 they fix the problem and went 2 the box designed swingarm. I put a post up a few weeks ago asking if a newer swingarm will work on an 86 frame and so 87-90 will fit. I found a real nice 87 swingarm with carrier for $160.00 just a bit of elbow grease and new bearings easy bolt up I just needed a longer chain. Unless your restoring all original as you know, people are asking an arm and a leg for them despite the design flaw. Anyway i will keep you in mind if i run into a decent one for the right $  +k2 Bryan
