They are blems! I couldn't resist for $245!! I can't tell what the issue is with them yet, so it can't be too much.
I have a decent set of OEM yellows still and new maier yellow rears. I'm feeling like a hoarder.....
Blem just means no factory warrenty with the cf print on them
My yellows were blem because the fronts were a little more orange than the rears
Were did you find them for 245 $. I looked everywhere for them for cheap. I ended up buying stock style white carbon fiber for 379 $. You got a good deal. I was impressed by mine no blemishes on them, their pretty much flawess. Great build. Get a chance check out my build thread hq build Section
I got them off Ebay directly from Maier. I searched "quadracer" and they came up. They had a few sets according the auction. Now I'm hoping for a blem hood and cap, but I don't think that will ever happen! Here's to hoping.

Almost done! I just need to finish the wiring , put the carb on and new sprockets and chain! Maybe tomorrow I'll get to fire her up.

You outa pick up a tether kill from KingsRacing on eBay. They are pretty cheap and clean up the bars a LOT
Well she runs! Not great, I still have jetting and float level issues, but she fired up without a lot of effort. I was happy to hear it for the first time. I had never heard this motor before, so it's a bit of a relief the PO of it was honest!!
So the one issue I'm having unrelated to jetting is my air box ducting is not lining up with the TM38. I'm running a zilla intake and got the hose to fit the opening of the carb by boiling it and stretching it over. It fits great now. The problem is I can't have it connected to the carb and air box. The angle of the dangle is just wrong! I'm sure others are ruining the TM38, so how did you make all of this fit? Do I need to eliminate the air box?
Yoir running stock boots right. If I put my 38 on my stock boot. I took boot from air box off clamped it to carb first then routed it around shock and reclamped it to airbox. But I had rad valve on my front. Its a pain in the but. You could get sb design trx adapter plate then you use zilla boots on the 91 92 250s that what im doing on my 91.
Can you send me some pics of your set up? How does the sbc adapter work.? I am running the stock boots, just have a zilla intake on. I really was struggling to get this to work. What a pain! I was half tempted to put the stock carb back on, then decided I've come this far so wth!
So I looked at the sbc adapter, that looks slick! So from what I read, I need a air box to carb boot for a zilla as well. What all is involved getting the adapter fitted? Anyone have an extra zilla carb to air box boot laying around?
I ran stock boot for a long time because of it. You could take a dermal with sand paper bit and take some material out of the boots. To fit bigger carb. But I will get you some pics.
