paper work question

   new york help- so i had gotten my 250 from my father about ten years ago and he has since died and he had never gotten a title or reg., before i had put money into the bike i had done a rub on the vin of the frame and brought it to a cop i know who ran it and came back not stolen . has any one in new york ever delt with this before and tried to get it in your name? it seems half of the bikes on cl have no paper work !

Your in luck bud. My Ex (still cool though lol) spent 10 years in NYS DMV. I just forwarded your question to her. PM your email. I have some forms being sent my way with instructions for ya.
