Need part # for aluminum rear rotor hub.
« on: September 30, 2015, 01:07:07 pm »
Hoping to see if anyone has a part # for the aluminum hub that the rear brake rotor bolts to on an 87 LT250R?Mine is really chewed up and is seized solid on the steel axle.Likely have to cut it off. Finally getting around to installing that new RAD bearing carrier and thought I,d go over everything.New something else would come up,always does. :(

Also if anyone has a good used one I may be interested if I can,t find a new one.Told they are discontinued up here in Canada but maybe someone has some stock left over or they,re available in the US?

Any info is appreciated.

1987 250R (H) model looks to be this one

http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Suzuki/ATV/1987/LT250R/REAR+WHEEL+%28MODEL+H-J-K-L-M-N%29/parts.html

I think you are talking about part 12 / 69720-22A10 for $59 bucks... ouch.  If I have the right part for the right year, then you can use any brake caliper mount 87+ years.

Looking on ebay you can see it for less (used)

Here is one for $18 shipped.

The part I need is not listed. In that pic it looks like the hub is sold as part of the axle...I just checked and didn,t realize that my Durablue axle may need a Durablue brake hub...The Durablue hub only fits a Durablue axle so maybe the stock one won,t work?My hub is aluminum, pretty the stock ones are steel?

Here is the brake rotor hub I need on Durablue site...Expensive,especially with the difference in the Dollar up here:(
Just curious if anyone knows if a stock one would work or if I need to run a Durablue...
I can contact Durablue also.

You should be able to run a stock one. I ran a stock one on my durablue axle.

They come pressed on the Durablue axle and are generally not removable, they are peened on and retained by a circlip. THE 500 axle is a little different setup.

Hope you get it worked out.

Part is on order.Mine was grooved up baaaad where the seal rides and really don,t want to get dirt/moisture in my new bearing carrier.RAD dual row Carrier is installed just waiting for the hub so I can put the axle in.Should be good to go next week.

Thanks again for everyones help :)
