Neat Vintage Racer

Found this locally.  I have actually seen the bike in person.  Really cool.

1985~'86 Vintage Suzuki LT250R pro-race ATV QUAD RACER "survivor". The Suzuki LT250 was the first ATV produced by any manufacturer.
Ride a piece of vintage race history!
Here is the racing and build history I have gathered on it.
This Suzuki LT250R ATV has a three-year race history. 1986~1989/90. It is the survivor of two racing 250Rs built by TMAG / Bill Savage and powered by factory prepared race engines.
The front A-arms are extra wide and fabricated of Chrome moly, and a Dura Blue extended rear suspension arm with aluminum skid plate.
It was ridden by Jerry Whelchel in Baja series, stadium series races, and Mint series races. Original desert race KC headlight mounted as raced, along with two high intensity spots.
I purchased it in 2007 and have replaced many items and have enjoyed riding it both in the dunes and desert.

It has been registered, has a current green sticker, and clear title.
Here is a list of what has been done on it, while maintaining the "as raced" survivor appearance.
There is less than 10 hours of riding since restored to present level.

Engine related:
New port matched sleeve and piston - work done by LA Sleeve.
New Mikuni carb.
New reeds.
New clutch disc pack.

Suspension related:
Custom front remote reservoir shocks were rebuilt by fineline shocks.
Rear mono shock rebuilt recently by KYB Enzo.
New brake pads front and rear with fluid flush.
New chain.
New cables.

Tires and rims:
It has the original front and rear race rims with new set of Dunlop tires.
Two sets of rear sand paddle tires (straight and "V") each on new Douglas spun aluminum wheels.
One set new front sand ribbed front tires on Douglas spun aluminum wheels.
One desert race spare tire/wheel which can mount on front or rear.

Rode it very recently for a morning desert ride, so it's ready to ride!

But you people just don't understand nor respect the value of this thing. It's a surviving vintage racer ok. May not be Mike Coe's original racer but it's still got real history. If I were closer and had the money, it would be in my fleet.

If it's a factory prepared engine.... And it's not.... It would be an RM250 engine.

28 year old machine that's been desert raced I normally wouldn't even look at

HPR sponsored  bike/rider Greg Clark, the #1 plate holder that year,  pulled the hole shot but gave the win on that race to Gary Denton after stalling it on a jump.

That is a sweet bike if you can varify the history. It would be awesome restored and taken out occasionaly to rip like a lot of guys are doing with vintage race cars and race bikes.
If brains were gasoline, you couldn't power a **** ant's go-cart 2 laps around a cheerio.
