I thought I'd start a thread where everybody can chime in on what they wish people made for the 85'-92 250R.

I wish somebody made skid plates from the front to the back...A arms, belly plate, swinger plate, and lastly larger gas tank for longer riding periods to fit my 85'

Aluminum boots between motor and carb, and the boot between the carb and the airbox for my 85'. Lastly for now, a rack that that bolts on the rear grab bar. Just big enough to hold a gallon gas jug, and a small cooler to hold a six pack of Mt. Dew.

Skid plates are around. Six pack racks are around. I've never seen a larger gas tank before.

There have been aluminum carb boots. The ones I've seen were a limited run made by a member on here. I got one of them. The Boyesen Rad valve has an aluminum boot. The reed cage and boot are one piece though.

O.k. Then how about an Eli system for the 250? That would be nice. Many other quads have it. I've heard people on here talk about, how they wanted it...many times.

I don't know of any EFI system that has been put on a 250 or 500. I've looked into it a little bit while my brother was doing EFI on his Banshee years back. It would be very expensive and time consuming to do it right. For me, the payoff was no where near worth the time and money.

Window in the clutch cover so you can see how crappy your oil is or how grooved your basket is. Would mainly be cos it would look cool lol!!
Have seen them on some 450s .

Big bore cylinders, swingarms (round carrier) stock and extended lengths - link and no link, a arms +2 & long travel, more rim selections - hypers and other bead locks front and rear. Aftermarket clutch baskets. Better chain sliders for the swingarm (ones made for aftermaeket swingarms)

Now I know most of this stuff was produced in the past but it is not made anymore, making finding these items near impossible.

Metal tech does the swing arms for the Zilla at the very least, rear hubs are an easy swap.

Hubs are easy to find for more rim selection. Any Z400 hub will fit.

Swing arms can easily be found. Search "Lt250R swing arm" on Google.

A arms can easily be found if you know how to use Google.

Clutch baskets can easily be found if you know how to use Google.

+2 arms? Round housing swingarms? Hinson or Barnett baskets? I search pretty much weekly for stuff just for the helluvit. I know how to use google and these items are pretty few and far between. I have all these things I listed on my bikes already but I don't mind having spare chassis parts. The last set of laegers arms I saw for sale I bought in a min. And the lonestars I saw went in a day, as well as the lonestar swingarm.

It's just a wish list of stuff you WISH was made or still made.

If somebody had support from a factory sponsor,...is it possible to tackle the E.F.I. ? I'm just thinking the factory guru's could do a lot of mumbo jumbo math nobody gets. I bet an on-board fuel management system is required.

Most newer two strokes that are coming out are fuel injected. I also know Honda filed a patent for a new two stroke fuel injected engine in mid 2015.

I've looked into doing EFI on the 500. I don't know of anyone that has put EFI on a 500. From my research, it would have cost me about $1500 to do EFI the right way without cheaping out on parts. That just was not worth it to me.

Here is a trx250r conversion

Here is a company that sell a EFI kit for single cylinder smaller 2-strokes. It has a 28mm TB which is way too much, but they offer a 34mm which might work on stockish 250r.

If you really want to put EFI on a lt250r or zilla, I would suggest buying the EFI system off a LT450R (as it has a 42mm TB ) and buying this ECU (http://pe-ltd.com/assets/pe3-sp000_datasheet_10-5-13.pdf). You then will need to an adapter and PE use to sell them for Lt450r. Next you will need a trigger wheel, easy to mod your flywheel for one. Then you just need to make sure you get everything mounts and hooked up then tuning is not that hard.

Certainly not something I could do, but I like the idea cause no one's done it to our's as far as we know. For $1500 I'd do it in a heart beat as long as a builder on here could do it for me.

What about an aluminum radiator shroud in place of the front plastic and hood? Make the air scoops flare out. Anybody got ideas for this?

Are you talking about an aluminum replacement for the plastic piece in the front of the frame that scoops up air?
