Buy a set of good used ones
Or Pay 280-350 to get it done.

I never seen this on a Lt250 , All I ever Seen was Lt500 that did this.  But I Don't play with lt250's

You might check to see if it's the bearing that's the problem before you go with a case insert.
It could be that the case is fine and the bearing isn't, but it's more than likely the case.
Either way, you'll need new bearings, so order the bearings and check before you send it off to have an insert put in.
Alternatively, find yourself a cheap set of cases for a 250...that might actually be cheaper than getting case inserts.

Ive checked with 2 different set of bearings. I pull my spare 87 motor apart this evening and it has a bad insert on the clutch side to. Im going to send to my 91 cases to get fixed. I dont want to take a chance of buying a set used and having the same problem. Buying used stuff isnt working out for me so well  here lately.I think Jerry said 130 to 160$ per side after i checked my answer machine.  Thanks for the response guys.

What are you talking about that was my posted and couldnt get any answer on it so i made this about the price of the inserts. So that is why i asked.Isnt this a forum to get answers.
That wasn't directed at you bud  0>me It was for Clifford the big red dog =WTK  -->  I think Jerry quoted around $300 or so for the plastic inserts he has been using for 20+ years.

Thats fines.. Im just getting really frustated at the moment nothing seem to ever go right. Just bad luck and cutting corners so i can get running faster. It just time to let it sit for awhile till everything is back to par or new. So it will be fast and reliable. Just suck to redo a bottom end  2 months ago and never to think of the inserts to be bad or going bad.
