Best brake pads

What is everyone  running for brake pads ?  I had ebc they stopped  alright looking  for  something to  last longer.

The front brakes on my 85' 250R have always been weaker than I'd like.  I never thought much about it I guess.  Maybe it's time to buy ebc's.

sintered metal pads last the longest generaly. also the loudest and hardest on rotors.

  fiber pads are the worst in mud but quiet/ cheap/ fast break-in. poor quality in general.

ebc has different levels. red/ green etc. im not sure how to qualify an answer.

Are talking about stopping power or just a spongy brake feel?I know if you go to a braided lines setup the brakes feel far better.

I'm not running ss lines. It's not that they feel spongy but just lack stopping power and the right tire brakes better than the other side.

The braided lines definitely make a big difference for stopping.Night and day imo.Also may want to make sure your caliper pistons aren't tight as well as the pins the caliper slides on as a lot of times the pins can rust up if the rubber boots get torn.

I'd rather just replace the calipers with n.o.s. And buy some braided lines now I guess. What do I need to know about ss lines when I'm picking out the lines I want?

Also, if I remember correctly, the LTR-450 drilled front disks are a direct replacement for the LT-250R.

Yes and yes. The faster you can  shed the  heat the shorter any brake system  stops as well as less brake fade.  Ie spongy pedal.

Drilled/dimpled/slotted brake rotors will improve your stopping power by allowing the hot gasses emitted from the pads a place to escape to rather than build up a micro-thin gas pocket boundary that can limit the pad to rotor contact.

I didn't know gases built up.  I learn a lot from here!  Is there anything else you guys got on this topic?  I.E. Best brands to get, what to stay away from?

then install new 5.0 or 5.1 brake fluid. if the brakes fade from high speed still then make vented copper shims.
