I know I'm chiming in a little late but I just recently picked up an 86 lt250r that me and my son are rebuilding for his first quad. I've been reading as many rebuild threads as possible and also have some questions. Does the aluminum thrust washers and RM wrist pin bearing suggestion also work on the 85/86 and if so what year RM bearing or part number? Ive also read that its best to use all Suzuki OEM seals and bearings for the lower end. With that said, has anyone had good luck with the Hot Rods complete lower end rebuild kit? Just would be much easier for someone with my amazing lack of experience to order everything i need in a complete kit? Any other suggestions on reliability for an 85/86 rebuild would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
