Hey good afternoon, I picked up an 85 lt250 a month or so ago. It did not want to turn over so I took the clutch cover off and found bolts loose/ crank balancer keyway wiped and gear laying in cover. regardless, I replaced what needed to be replaced and reassembled. no weird noises or anything and everything went back together again smoothly. only issue is there is no neutral. shifts through gears fine, but no halfway in between 1st and 2nd gear. my next step is to split the case (I removed the clutch cover again and removed the clutch/ clutch basket assembly to rule that out and I still cannot find neutral with no clutch basket installed. it didn't matter if the bike was moving or not, or if the engine was running or not. I have not split the case up until this point. Anyone have any ideas? would be much appreciated.
