1991 engine case bearing replacement
« on: June 11, 2017, 11:42:02 pm »
I was hoping to get every piece of rubber and all bearing out of my cases. However, there seems to be a couple rubber bearing housings that are glued right to the metal that don't seem like they come out. I can't locate these on the parts list. This is my first rebuild and I think I might have ruined my cases hacking at these things.

Where are the rubber pieces located?  Are  you calling the seals, rubber pieces?

These are right behind the bearings. I think they are seals, I thought seals were items that are easily removed. these almost seem to be factory glued to the cases. I am looking at a winderosa oil seal kit right now and some of these pieces look like the things I think I damaged. I was originally trying to remove all rubber items from the cases so I could clean the cases really good. Thank you!
