clutch question
« on: September 27, 2014, 02:55:19 pm »
Quick question. I have new dirt digger clutch with 85 86 springs. It drags like crazy and have been told it is coil bind due to the springs(?).Have taken springs and plates out, my question is, is it normal for there to be play in the basket. If not then I  need to take it off but if it's normal then I'll leave it on.thanks for your time guys

Did you soak the plates overnight before assembly?

ok so i took clutch off and found out it is the primary gears on the back of the oem basket that have the play .Guess when the rivets were installed they were not done tightly .Which sucks as basket has been used about 15 minutes and now im not sure whether to chance using it or not .Would be bad if it came apart !!
