86 won't stay running
« on: September 20, 2013, 03:58:56 pm »
So I tried to take one of my '86s out in the trail today. It stalled and it wouldn't refire unless held WOT. I then noticed the plug wasn't tight. Tightened the plug. Same story. The idle screw is turned all the way in and it will barely hold idle. What exactly are the factory carb specs?

the mixture screw was all the way seated. I backed it out to 1.5 turns and it seems to idle now. But I have an exhaust leak at the head. Is this a major problem?
