Engine knocking/chugging

My 250r has a knocking sound when it's idling .when I pull in the clutch is goes away some people say its normal. Do you think it's normal

No, take the clutch cover out and check for something

Sounds like a worn clutch basket.
Pull the cover off, remove the clutches and steel plates and look at the fingers on the basket.
If they have grooves or notches in the square fingers than that'll be your culprit.
Also, the rivets that hold the basket together could be worn.
