What type of improvement are you expecting when you use a billet bowl?

I am looking for a used oversize billet bowl. I can buy a new one, just trying to save money and find a used one.
They look like this

Is this going to be used on a gas or alcohol engine?

Thanks for the pic... I personally have never seen that before, it looks expensive!  How much is a new one?  Does anybody know if there is one for the 250's?  Not trying to hijack your thread, just curious.

The one I posted is like $90 new. It is for a PWK carb. They make them for TM carbs and lectron carbs as well.
The are some that are cheaper ($140/pair) but I only need one.
