LT500 'Quadzilla' Lonestar hybrid for sale
« on: July 12, 2017, 08:22:01 pm »
I am selling my quadzilla lonestar hybrid.  I have been duning and sand drag racing since 1989 and have decided to let someone younger kick start these 500's.  I will be selling my drag bike also at a later time.  I have not yet put this on ebay, but plan to do so.  Below are the details.  Thanks for looking.

Details:
A.   Lonestar chassis;
      1. Powder coated chrome moly frame
      2. Chrome plated chrome moly 6”+ swing arm (with round bearing carrier)
      3. Chrome plated, 3”+ extended chrome moly ‘A’ arms
      4. Chrome plated chrome moly steering stem
      5. Aluminum tie rods
      6. Rubber mounted aluminum steering stem clamp (handle bar mount)
B.   Axcalibar variable width racing axle with aluminum wheel hubs (Honda bolt pattern)
C.   Elka 16” Dune edition front and rear shocks (new)
D.   Wheels & tires;
       1. Front, light weight smooth-buff tires on 10” aluminum wheels
       2. Rear, 10 paddle haulers on 8” aluminum wheels or  8 paddle ITP SandStar tires on 10” ITP aluminum wheels (both with Honda bolt pattern)
E.   DR Q quadzilla chromed pipe and silencer
F.   Renthal polished aluminum handle bars
G.   STREAMLINE steering stabilizer
H.   Stainless steel front and rear brake lines
I.   Custom aluminum foot pegs
J.   Custom polished aluminum rear brake pedal assembly
K.   Stock and modified LT250R parts;
      1. Custom upholstered Cascade seat
      2. Custom painted race cut Suzuki plastic
      3. Radiator
      4. Front spindles and hubs
      5. Front and rear brake assemblies (calipers, discs, & reservoirs)
      6. Fuel tank
L.   LT500R Engine;
      1. Trany—all new bearings and seals, replaced any worn gears or shift forks
      2. Billet aluminum racing clutch basket with heavy duty clutch springs
      3. Cases have crank bearing inserts installed with new crank bearings
      4. Top end has new 0.040 over bore, new Wiseco piston, rings, bearing, & piston pin (has been run a few hours to test)
      5. Cool Head
      6. Option, can build motor as a ‘Hot rod duner’ (extra cost).
M.    Hybrid Quadzilla; dry weight—295 lbs, wheel base—58”; compare Honda TRX450R dry weight—350 lbs, wheel base—49.2”
I have got at least $7500.00 in the quad, which I know I probably can’t get the money invested it.  I would rather do a trade for a nice low mile/hour four stroke sport atv, such as a KTM 525, Polaris Predator 500, newer Yamaha Raptor 700, possibly some of the 450’s, or Side by side.  Contact me about possibilities or I would be willing to sell out right for $6500.00.

Yes the top end has been rebuilt if you read section "L" number 4. about the engine it states that the top end has been rebuilt, just hasn't been built for performance (optional).

Hi, I am located in Southern Oregon, home of the Oregon Dunes.

The one thing my quad lacks is a top end that would make it a 'hot rod duner'.  In the past I have made 575 cc cylinders using a 14 mm longer carrillo H beam rod with a KTM 550 piston (92.25mm), larger carb, modified 'O' ring head for higher compression, with appropriate exhaust and transfer porting.   However this would run up the cost more.

Does anyone know of a substitute for Photo Bucket?  I was using their service to place my photos of the above custom quad on this site.  To continue using them for 'third party hosting' I must upgrade at the price of almost $400.00 a year.  Ridiculous price when I have only used them one time and would never get enough use to pay for that service.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I sold my LT500 Quadzilla Lonestar hybrid to a Suzuki fan in Missouri, who has a number of restored quadracers (LT250, LT500) along with other quads and three wheelers.  How do I end this subject (thread), or whatever it is called.  Thanks
