Lonestar Extended adjustable HEAVY DUTY 2+2 rear axle -LT500
« on: January 13, 2015, 04:31:29 am »
(Selling a no longer produced Lonestar Racing (LSR) Heavy Duty Extended 2+2 Adjustable Axle for the Suzuki LT500/Quadzilla.

The axle is 2 inches wider than stock and can be adjusted another 2 inches with spacers (I believe that's how they work).  Currently with spacers it is 35.75 inches wide from wheel hub backing to wheel hub backing.

The axle is solid steel and comes with LT500 sprocket & brake hubs, hub locking nuts, spacers, heavy duty washers, wheel hub washers, and Castle Nut....comes with everything as shown.

The axle is HEAVY DUTY all the way to the end where it measures 1.357 inches in diameter a 1/4 inch larger than stock.

This axle WILL work with the stock swing arm & carrier bearing or an aftermarket swing arm as long as it's 50mm like the OEM zilla axle.

Axle is 26 Spline which fits LT500, I think LT250?, LTR450, LTZ400 rear wheel hubs OR you can check my other ads for Matching Lonestar Billet LT500 rear hubs 5x130 (OEM bolt pattern).

**NOTE one of the end threads where the castle nut goes on is flattened and needs to be cleaned up with a die, other than that the axle is in good shape.

The finished is polished steel and has some surface pitting as seen in the pictures but it does have a decent shine on it.

$280 + the ride

P.S. I have matching Lonestar Racing billet 5x130 rear hubs in another ad if you want a complete set.

I'm new to the quad world so this might be a stupid question. Will this fit on my 92 lt250r quadracer? I know my hub's will fit on it from what I've read. I know I have 26 spline axle now. But I don't know what all will interchange from the lt500 to my 92 lt250r. I am rebuilding my 92 lt250r from the ground up, and being a bigger man I would love to have a fatter axle someting with more strength than the stock. So before I give my money to some big company I would rather give it to someone on here who is passing on savings. Anyway please let me know if it will work for me, and once I find out how much I owe Carl/ Iceracer for doing my jug/head, and get him paid, I should have enough left over to buy this and maybe even get the hubs too. If not I should have my income tax $$$ back in a week or two. But if someone else jumps on it before then thats ok I'll just keep looking. Thanks for any info if this will work on my quad.

Comer,
I'm 99% sure it won't work.

The diameter of the 500 bearing carrier is 50mm which is the largest produced by any quad manufacturer and I'm pretty sure the carrier bearing diameter of the 250 is smaller than that.

I'm sure you'll be happy with Carl's work, he's top notch.

Thanks for letting me know for sure. I am excited like a little kid at Christmas lol. And Carl is a first class guy, as when I joined this sight looking for infor and help, he was one of the first to not only help me but gave me his number and even explianed everything to me in a way I could understand. But then when he told me he would do my port work, bore, and o-ring my head I was so excited just to know after seeing all the great post about him that I had the right man for the job. I don't know if you or anyone else read dirtwheels mag, but his name is even in there by someone he helped do some work for on a burned up lt250r. I was just glad to see there were two suzuki lt 250r's in the mag this month instead of seeing nothing but utv's, trx 250r's, and the banshee's. Again that you my friend for the quick answer and info about your axle for sale, I just wish it would have worked as thats a good deal for the axle, brake/sprocket hubs.

The 250 uses a 40mm axle... which coincidentally is the same as a JJ&A axle. However, it may be possible to have a custom swing arm built to use the larger zilla bearing carrier.
