Can these be powered directly from the zilla's stock electrical system, or would it require additional parts?  (i.e., can I just cut the wire to the stock headlight, and splice a pair of these into it so they work off of the stock headlight switch?)   Also, would these lights work while the quad is just idling, with the reduced electrical output?  Thanks!

We have ran them on stock stators and they worked. We haven't had any long term testing done but so far they have lasted. They work at idle with barely any flicker.

I've not run zillafreaks lights but I run a Cree led and it works fine at idle and is super bright while riding. The flicker at idle is only really noticeable if you stick your hand in front of the light. I've done two night rides since installing mine and it's holding up fine I plan on having a few more night rides this season.

Thanks for the info, guys!

Buck, what is the light output of your headlight (i.e. lumens)?  Just wondering if a pair of these would be similar to what you've got and enough for general purpose night rides.  Sounds like yours is pretty bright.  Thanks!
