My 92
« on: April 23, 2013, 09:18:04 am »
Just picked this up last Sunday.  It's in fairly good shape, has a FMF pipe and silencer and has Work's shocks on the front.  It cranks up on 2nd kick and runs but is either idled way high or has a air leak.  Guy I got it from said the carb started dripping gas from the overflow and he admitted to messing with the carb.  I got a carb kit coming and hope the problem is a combo of him and a dirty carb.  I'm also changing from the twist throttle back to thumb throttle.  My plans for right now are to get it running right then check over the bolts and bearings/seals front to back then ride the snot out of it.  I'll prob clean up the plastic and get the black paint off the front hood.  This winter I'll tear it down to the bare frame and clean/paint everything.
Let the good times roll.....

take those front wheel spacers off and sell them on ebay. they will cause you more problems than what there worth.

but nice score,
life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sidays totally worn out shouting "HOLY SH*T...WHAT A RIDE!"

It's got lame-o spacers on the back too.  They will be coming off soon.
