87 was the big reed's 88-92 were the small reeds.

The 250 and 500 boots interchange, but the 500 is both bigger and at an angle compared to the 250

How many bolts  are on top of the reed cage.
1= 87. There is a Total of 5
2 = 88+ has a total of 6 bolts.

The 87 is the large reed. If you need a small reed cage and manifold I have  a OEM and a boyseen. The boyseen is Allamericans. You can get with him on a price if you want that one.

the 5 bolt is an 87 and the reed cage is larger. but the diameter of the area where the carb bolts to should be the same. is it a stock carb?

do you want to trade reed boots,
life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sidays totally worn out shouting "HOLY SH*T...WHAT A RIDE!"
