Oil Seepage - 87 lt250r
« on: July 01, 2014, 09:56:46 pm »
Took my wheeler for a nice long ride yesterday.  I noticed oil seeping out of the leftside in area between crankcase and bottom of jug.

I'm running 32:1 premix. Oil in transmission was just changed.

What would case this?  I'm not sure the last time it was gone over with the torque wrench.

Bad base gasket.  I just got one and bit was leaking coolant out of the front. Come to find out the previous owner did piston and rings and instead of buying a base gasket they just used silicone.     1 gasket and about 25 mins later it was good to go

Went through entire quad with torque wrench. All 4 base bolts went 3/4 before hitting torque spec. Ran is hard for 3 rides now. No more seepage.
