KickStarter
« on: June 23, 2015, 04:04:08 pm »
I have an 86' 250r. The kickstarter has a lot of play in it and does not like to stay in place during riding and hits my leg. Is there any way to fix this, A rebuild kit? Any Help would be greatly appreciated

You may try a new ball inside, see how the spring is, and a new o ring on the knuckle.

You could take it apart and put an o-ring on the stub where the top part of the kicker slides on.There is a rebuild kit available on here.It has a spring,ball,o-ring and bolt.It works well but didn,t take the play out of mine but did stop it from swinging out, mainly due to the new o-ring.

Thanks for the advice. That kit says it won't work on the 85-86's
