I am rebuilding my 250 and i had bought a engine and it had a hot rods crank put in. It  had sat for a bit with no oil in it , so i had put fresh oil in it and installed the engine, when i go to put it in gear the shifter does not want to return to the original position it seem to shift up but i can not get it to shift down
or even find neutral. the oil had been in the engine for a week before i had discovered the issue. Any help is appreciated ! ps i tried to adjust the clutch cable still no dice
