carb. torque spacers
« on: November 17, 2014, 07:03:30 pm »
I was wondering what the deal with carb torque spacers do and if they they are beneficial or not.
I always seem to struggle to get my carb to fit into the boots with enough lap to where i feel they are on enough and i have tried to cheat my air box forward and  still i'm not satisfied ! I wanted to put a spacer in to get the lap i want . i have a stock carb and v force reeds , would this b ok to do ?

That's the real benefit to them. On some of the machines the reed cage blocks off the sub intake port also and the spacer will put the reed blood where it needs to be. Depends on the engine and build if there is any real performance gain. Not usually. But usually not a drop either.
