You might try z400 spindles/hubs/brake discs.... Lighter, rims easier to find 4x144, you can use yfz450 dual piston brake calipers

On my Zilla they reduce bump steer

Getting the parts to work correctly might take some work, but I know a spindle swap can be done.

I went to suzuki central site and got used spindles hubs rotors yfz450 calipers steel lines off one member for $107

serg, is this the same laeger you had a couple years ago that you showed me in person?  I dont remember the tie rods being in front like that.  I would say thats pretty damn rare if so.  the spindles in the pic look to be the TRX250r from 1986/1987.  probably before leager developed T-pin spindles.

me personally, I wouldnt go f'ing around trying all sorts of spindle conversion - with those tie rods in the front like that who knows what would happen to the steering geometry.  it shouldnt be too difficult to source some 86/87 TRX spindles, hubs, etc.  let me know if you need help

Serg does your steering stem have the tie rod mount tab fore or aft /front or back on your stem?

That pic is from the late '80s when racers were looking for any latest trick to improve performance or handling..... Wonder why no one runs anything like that now?

Take one shot to the front side from a tire and your out of the race. It was a bad idea for track racing, zero protection.

ATVMXR yes this is that leager and the tie rods do mount in the front. So I'm probably stuck with this front end.

Dezsled the bump stop is on the other side I don't remember what side but I know it's different then my tl250.

Ice racer I was thinking the same about these tie rods being in the front.

Serge you just need to send it up here to me Ill sort it all out for ya. ....lol  Ok seriously.
Does the steering stem have the pitman off the front and stop on the rear? That don't look Like reverse setup, not saying it isn't. Mount up the other side and lets see where the lines are you may be able to run a standard Honda stem. You will need Honda Spindles though. 400ex will work, there a really common swap in the R world.

Lets get this thing sorted out so you can ride it you been starring at it for what 3 years now?

i hate to bring this old post back up but a few of you guys told me these spindles on my leager are honda 250r spindles. if you look at a honda the tie rod is in the back and the pic that was posted from the magazine show the tie rod in the front.

The right spindle is mounted on the opposite side and vise versa in the pic I posted. I'd like to see the steering shaft with the flag/tie rod mounting tab off the front, can you post a pic serg? That would be a pretty rare part   P*

On the '86-7 trx250r spindles the arm the tie rod end mounts to is lower than '88-9 trx250r and 400ex spindles. Something else to think about  P*
