Someone mentioned it on trx250r.org.      It's a new site just started, the previous 250r.net site got completely out of control between a couple builders and their loyal followers....  Sound familiar????    Lol.

Sweet, I knew they were doing some stuff to that area but I didn't know how much they'd done so far.
I mainly stay up north where other riders are scarce, and lately I haven't been going out to Kermit at all.
Guess I need to see what it's all about this weekend, maybe take some pics or something and report back if I don't have any jobs come in.

Simpleton, you could probably mop this place up if you brought your drag bike, I got your back LOL

Haven't flown over in years, it's out of the way for me.
I did go out and see what all was going on today, but didn't stay long because my quad was acting up.
Seems to be a pretty nice setup they've got going on!

The heat isn't a concern for me...I've got a climate controlled space suit.
It'll keep me cool for about 1.5hrs, and doubles as a camelback too:
http://www.veskimo.com/personal-cooling-vest-systems.html

If you've got any money to spare, this is the only type of cooling vest that actually works.
Grab one and head out any time during the summer...

Can't find the thread, but there were several guys that could possibly make a trip out here.
Q2W, 210Zilla, Simpleton, and a few others? (several guys here in TX)
Maybe some of the OK riders might want to give Kermit a go.
Maybe by fall they'll have everything set up with the apartments, the camping area already has water/electricity/toilets available.

No, I got a new one...that phase change stuff was just barely adequate for 30min or so.
After 30min it was still cool, but not cold, and past that it started acting like a jacket.
It was better than nothing, but definitely not the best.
This new jacket is like pouring ice cold water down your back, I don't even break a sweat in 110F weather.
It's a 4.4qt backpack with what amounts to a camelback that you fill with as much ice as possible, then top off with water.
There's a battery pack to circulate the water back and forth through small tubes woven into the vest, and another small tube that you can use for drinking.
An on/off switch on the shoulder strap lets you turn it off for a little while if the cooling is too intense or you're trying to conserve your ice.
I also have a 9qt cooler system for when I'm flying the agcat, so I can switch between them with quick connects.
Picked up some pants made the same way, haven't tried them yet, but I would expect they'd allow twice the cooling to occur, while consuming twice the ice per hour.
