jetting help
« on: August 23, 2015, 04:16:36 pm »
I have a 89 lt250r head milled, port and polished, fmf pipe and a vm38 mikuni carb running 110 octane and mixing 32:1.. It will idle perfect but when I try to open the throttle fast it bogs down and then will finally rev out . By the looks of the plug its running rich. I have a 35 pilot jet , 230 main jet, andive tried aadjusting the clip on the needle. I lowered the clip to the bottom notch which made it a little better but still bogs pretty bad. Only thing i havent messed with is the float and main jet. Once it passes that bog it will rev normal at high rpms. Also tried putting a size 30 pilot jet and it wouldnt even start. any help or suggestions would be appreciated
