Power valve problem
« on: January 04, 2013, 10:46:57 am »
Hi all!! I'm new on here and was hoping some of you will be able to help me out. I'm having a major problem with my power valve on my zilla. After recently doing a complete top to bottom rebuild and then doing a leak down test, I have found a massive air leak around the power valve. Its where the shaft comes through its bearing and housing on the right hand side of the engine. Inside the bearing housing there is an o-ring to seal against the shaft but mine is leaking badly.
I was thinking of trying a tighter o-ring or possibly using two o-rings?, as there looks like enough room in the housing to do this, but was wondering if any of you have came across this before and have some solution!! Any suggestions would be appreciated as if I cant get it to seal properly I'm gonna have to seal the power valve shut with instant gasket or something to seal it......would seriously reduce my bottom end torque until she comes onto the pipe, and would really rather not have to do that!!
Thanks.
