A Arm rebuild

What do you recommend when it comes to the A Arm bearings?  Go with a bearing setup just like OEM or go with the bushings instead of the bearings?

I think Im going to look into those.. I wasnt sure if the bearing type would be better than the bushing type.  Slowly, I am learning.

What are your thoughts on the camber mod?  Go with the spacers or grind and use washers. I have washers available. I just wasn't sure if the ball joint will spin?  Compounding fears of lessening that pinch bolt setup they used.

I did the camber mod to mine and I love it. Took the nervousness out of the steering for sure. I used 1/2" threaded black pipe collar and cut it to 5mm in length. Ya need to get a longer bolt for it. I through a tack weld on the bottom for good measure to the a-arm and ball joint. It works for me but mind you any of this is at your own risk.😉

I never thought of tacking it. I'm not worried about ball joint or whole setup failing. I was just concerned about the ball joint rotating in there which could compromise that pinch bolt. Tacking it would solve that rotation problem.

I'm going to fastenal for bolts.

Can also use these shims for the camber mod.No grinding, they lock the balljoint from turning and come with a longer bolt.

Is there a replacement lower ball joint that eliminates the pinch bolt setup?  I see there is a Moose Racing ball joint kit that come with a snap ring and cotter pin. It appears that it has to be pressed into the old ball joint housing.

Can I use the stock 14mm bottom ball joint bolt if I use a .25" spacer?  I cut them from 1/4 inch steel on the CNC Plasma.

That's what I was thinking too. Seems to be enough bite with stock by and a .25" spacer.

After I did the mod I  went to sand mountain and it was a very choppy weekend at the sand and it held up perfect with no problems.
