LT500R - Engine / Re: LT500R 88+ carburetor slide

Now I am curious. My Suzuki manual says there are two slides if I am reading it right. one is an 2.0 and the other is a 4.0 depending what model you have. Maybe Sudco does not carry them anymore but they are listed in there catalog.

LT500R - Engine / Re: Problems Starting and idle Quadzilla
« Last post by Gaz on August 17, 2023, 07:58:44 am »
Jerry, is 2mm the recommended idle slide height on the Mikuni?. At 38mm venturi, assuming 6DK3 @ 3rd clip, 3mm slide height and lower puts the needle's straight portion (2.6mm widest part) into the needle jet minimizing the needle jet's influence. Is that the correct part of the needle that should be in the needle jet at idle or should the start of the first taper (2.5mm) be in the needle jet at idle? Would it be correct to say anything under 3mm (minimized needle jet influence) that maintains a decent idle is a suitable slide height setting? Cheers.

I would call or email Cometic. I still get all my 250 stuff there as I did 20 years ago.
