My 1989 quadzilla starts great, has good compression, new dg exhaust system, but it is sluggish in the lower gears and tries to clear out in the higher gears. I am thinking it is getting too much fuel. It also idles. The only problem is it is lacking power. I am running 93 gas, mixed 40 to 1 with castor 927. Any ideas?

Did it just start doing this? If so, what have you changed?

Nothing, I just bought the 4wheeler. I bought it like this. The guy I got it from told me it has a fresh top end but has been sitting up for a while. He said it ran right when he parked it.

May want to go through the carb to start...May need a cleaning as well as let us know what the jetting is.

That's what I am thinking as well. I had some people try to tell me it was a blown head gasket, but I just dont believe it is.
