Your talking about Ebay?

Are you talking about the pick up coil in the stator or the ignition coil?

Either way OEM seems to last pretty good.

LT500r 87 - Hard starting. Was told possibly weak coil. Many coils for sale from $12 - $50. How to know their quality? By the price?

The ignition coil has the cap that goes on your spark plug.
