Hello,
Just the words "Hatfield/McCoy Single track" should make the hair on the back of your necks stand-up. ;D
I have never been to Buffalo Mtn. and don't know what to expect. Shawn and I covered the three trail systems available out of the Ashland Campgrounds pretty thoroughly last October. Sorry you all missed it.  It was truly two of the best trips yet, but each one does get better than the last. I'll be doing that trip again this fall only it will be the last week in Sept. (instead of the annual date of the first week in Oct.) Mark your calenders now for Ashland then.
Four of us on Dirt bikes have reserved the last cabin available at W.Va. Outback ATV in Williamson. Ms. Madonna Hatfield guarantees us a hot shower and a clean bed every night. I am excited about having more choices for food and stuff in this luckier part of W. Va. I feel that this place will be a good time also. Free firewood and coffee!
I am sorry, once again, that I did not consider the "SQRHQ" and "2SC" groups when I made the reservation. I just can't wait on you guys to decide when and where you are going!. If you want to be there, I would think that there is something available in Delbarton or even better yet Matewan.

The buffalo mountain portion is only 2 hours from me.

fugg that means its another 3 hr on top of the 5, think i would rather drive to the dunes.
not tring to spend close to $800 bucks in fuel to get there and back. and thats just in my truck.
not counting everything else.

Take 10 to 15 gallons. Being the spring ride, you have the summer riding season to use it.
I'm going to have to wait another year to make the trip.

well its getting that time to start planning another ride in WV.
we posted this on 2strokecentral.com that we are gonna try to get a ride together around spring break.
and there are a few guys from over there that want to make this trip to.

http://www.atvresort.com/hatfield-mccoy_trails.html

this is the place we usually stay at, it is one of the nicest places down there, and its pretty cheap. you can hit the trails from the camp ground or take a ride
down the road to hit some of the other ones. plenty of trails to ride down there, and its a great time. they have a huge shower house and washing machines.

well lets try to get a big group of guys this year, everyone is invited to ride. you can rent a cabin sleep in your trailer or your vehicle or just pitch a tent. as far as I know
there are no rules as far as sparkys or noise. only thing that you are supposed to have is a permit to ride the trails, but i didnt buy one last year, and i dont plan on getting
one this year. none of us have ever seen them look or check for the decal. we were also told if we have 10 places rented as a group we can get a discount. so lets try to
get a date set when most of us can make it. i was thinking around spring break time, seemes like most people can make it around those dates. but it does not matter to me.
just as long as we can get a nice group together for a ride. i usually go down for 4 days. wednesday to sunday. and if your scared of the mud dont bother posting. lol
you cant hide from that stuff down there. but there are a bunch of nice hill climbs, very rockey trails, and they are very wide, lots of UTV's down there. camp ground will be packed and you can go ride and not even see anyone out on trails, there are plenty of them. lol  it would be nice to ride before the leaves start to come back on the trees.
plenty of places to eat down there or just cook on the grill, it was pretty nice tho to ride your 2 stroke down main street and pull into gas station or go where ever you need
to go, yes you can ride on the streets down there and cops wont do a thing to you, unless you are being stupid.

there should be 2 of us in my group.
