Are they worth the time to put on? Are the v2 that much better?
-
Those look to be V-1's......
-
What reeds are these? I can't really find a part number that tells me exactly. Hopefully you guys can help..

Since I'm rebuilding my top end, it was a good time to look at my V2 reeds. After about 100 hours, my carbon fiber reeds are starting to show wear (starting to fray) on all cage faces. I'm going to replace them and keep my current ones as a backup. Is it OK to turn the reeds around and use the unworn side? I'm guessing not a good idea.
Also, there are two tension settings. You want to use the high tension setting (Reed Stops set back closer to the carb.)

Some good news for folks with the 88 cylinder and up, Moto Tassinari still has a few V-Force 2 (Reeds/ Valve) available, give them a call, when they are gone they are gone, they are asking $150 for them.

"How often should the carbon fiber V2 reeds be replaced? aprox obviously."
If your engine has been set up correctly and is running correctly carbon fiber reeds last along time. If your engine is set up wrong and isn't running right then they don't last very long.

what's the word on the v4s?

Depends on how much you ride I assume, LOL for me maybe never !
