Oring goes toward the crank. Oring seals to the smooth part of the crank and seal "seals" against outside of the collar.

question about the primary drive gear spacer on the crankshaft.  the spacer has an oring in it and is also tapered. what im wondering which end the tapered part of the spacer goes? towards the crank or towards the gear? Any info would be great
