that ripped boot will lean out your motor real fast, when you start it did it take off in a high rev.
throw that boot away, do not try and use it again.

The reeds look fine to me.The boot is shot. You can force the carb in it farther .But its really hard to do alot of force pushing it in..You need a new boot. It would be so much easier for you. If its leaks it could blow it up from being lean.I say your crab is super dirty and the jets or air ways are pluged up.Im going to make a video later today of carb cleaning for you on my youtube .obdwv is my user name on youtube.

Was your reeds laying flat against the cage. Also how was the black under them is it wore off is still their .Is their anyway you could upload pictures .So we can see.Is the slice all the way threw the boot.Would it leak air were its sliced..Im going to try to make video today of me cleaning my stock carb.So you can see the step.It is super easy and no way is hard as you think it would be.

Removed them tody and they look almost new.But the boot has a rather large slice in it,
What problems would that cause?
