What's the Part number for the replacement thicker petals?

Just to add, on the V Force 3 reeds 88, there are 2 types of reeds, Std and HT (Thicker) I am not sure on the 87.

For the people that like the Boyesen are you running the single stage "super stock" reeds? Or are you running the dual stage "power reeds"? Having their dual stage reeds on a 250R I was never impressed with them. The dual stage design seemed give more low-end power but limit top-end rev as compared to traditional single stage reeds. Anybody else experience this?

The OEM cage is a really good design to start off with. If you need to, you can put in Boysen reed petals as an upgrade to stock ones. As far as the pyramid cage goes, I had one on my bike & sold it to MHR for $5.00. It was just too restrictive. However, MHR says that they can be opened up for better flow.
The testing that I have done with reeds says that the basic design of the pyramid is just the opposite of what it should be. Engines wants as much flow area as possible at low petal lift. This means that we are looking for reed assemblies that maximize the flow area near the tip of the petal where the petal tension is minimal and not at full petal lift.

Get rid of the reeds, you'll more than double airflow into the cylinder

TDR reeds are a good choice too. Been running a set in an 87 for 10 years!

I've never used the LT reeds only the HT, they also made an MT at one point and they worked great too. I've been told the LT's can flutter and possibly break at higher rpm. http://www.carbontech.com/atv/suzuki.html

Personnaly if you can't find v2's the stock cage with carbon tech HT reeds works great. I've had the boyseen petals break after not much use. The pyrimid is very restrictive.

Both of my 87 zillas have 88 top ends. The one came with a stock reed cage the other a Duncan pyramid.
I did a search but nothing on this showed up.
Is there mods I can do to the oem cage? Or run the pyramid?
