Thanks guys for the info I'm not really into buying new shocks for this trail/beginners bike for my lady but if I jump on it I don't want it to bottom out but there's a bone yard down the street maybe ill speed the day measuring some shocks ill get at ya guys and let ya know what I find

250x, 300ex are about the same length.  not sure how they would mount up at the pivots, never tried.   banshee shocks won't work, way to long.  85-86 lt250r use short shocks.

Best bet is to contact Yuzuha32 he is a member here and can get you deal on ELKA shocks

i bought factory length WORKS and they ride great.cost about 450.

Anybody out there know of front replacement shocks for the 85-86 model its my ladys quad so spending thousands of dollars for extended arms and works/elka shocks is out of the question just need some good replacements thanks
