Thanks for the tips!! Thinking of useing flow tex do the work price sounds good any input on them?

If you do any work to the motor be sure to reenforce your jug at the intake.   Hate to see you do a bunch of work to it only to have the jug crack.  Also, I've seen flywheels nuke time and time again when you add HP to zillas.  Be sure to have the hub welded on the flywheel too.

Thanks iam in the ball park il do some playin around let you no what i come up with. Just trying the Q pipe out out before i take the best apart plaining on fixing stock head(squish) V force mild port on cylinder stock bore weld crank air box mods any other thing should do to motor?

The pipe won't affect the idle circuit nearly as much as the main jet.
I believe I used the same exact pilot jet with a slightly different pilot air screw setting.
However, you may want to drop the clip on the needle one position (effectively raising the needle), as the pipe will affect mid range too.
The 400 is probably where you'll wind up, but with winter temps you might start off with a 420 just to be safe.

i would try a 400, the 420 might be to much. i am guessing you are running stock carb and air box also.

1990 lt 500 stock going to put Q pipe on tinking off trying 420 main #30 poilot. stock settings is 380 main 22.5 poilot

I have stock 500 just got a Q pipe just want to try the pipe out befor i take it apart this winter what jet size do i go to?
