$600 is too much for an 86' that doesn't run, unless it's in really good condition.  $300 if a fair offer.  Like Andy said, be sure to check frame and swingarm for cracks.

Thanks. The bike was roached. Missing way too many things. Couldn’t check compression or anything. Biggie was VIN ground off. So, still hunting.

Welcome.
Check swingarm for cracks
Frame for stress cracks by the shock mounts. Check for play in all the bearings ,as those mount up money wise.

Been wanting to get back into the ATV scene and always liked the  Suzuki quads. Years ago I restored a quadsport and was surprised how well it ran for what it was. Anyhoo I’ve found a crackhead selling a LT250R that appears to be a 86 model. Anything I need to pay attention on this?  He said the clutch is out and is bad so I can’t hear it run. It looks fairly original. My guess motor is shot too lol. He’s asking $750 on one site and $600 on another. I’m thinking of offering $300 and if I get him to $500 might take it. What’s your thoughts?[attachimg=1]
