I would also recommend putting anti-seize on the threads, it's cheap insurance. Bolts broke off in the cases sucks.

yes 85-86 have philips bolts. 87-92 use different length bolts, different engines and different cases.
change them to allen cap bolts. 10 mm head bolts won't fit on all. and allens look nicer.
i know i have a list of them somewhere. made it years ago when i was building 85-86 engines

thanks for the tip ill definetly have to get a bolt kit when i restore my bike but for now ill just bring them to the hardware store
-
i was unaware that the 85-86 had screws instead of bolts. my 90 had bolts from the factory. perhaps the 87+ bolts will fit the clutch cover.

Love those Kits!!!

Get this, It has almost everything you need for the entire bike. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPECBOLT-220pc-BOLT-KIT-SUZUKI-LT250R-LT500R-QUADZILLA-/390283065156?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item5adeaef744&vxp=mtr

well tried different sites and no luck. thanks though ill just have to go to the bike and get the screws to match at the store with.
-
Best bet is to look up on line that sells OEM parts, they usually list the bolt length in the pricing area.
Unless we can get one of the LT250 Gurus to answer for you.........
-
not sure if this makes a difference but its an 86

We need a Kyle for this type of info......
