Haven't pulled the trigger on a new carb yet. I guess I could get the tm38-85 put jets in matching the 43b10 carb and see if it's close but was kinda waiting to see if anyone has done this and with what results. My bike has open filter, Paul Turner pipe and fmf silencer. Runs pretty strong as is but I know a new carb would improve performance.

Jpcon, you could always go with a mikuni 44VM.

Thx for the reply. Are you running a carb from them on a zilla?

I get my Mikuni carbs from Niche Cycle.  They have a big selection of carbs, jets, tools, etc., and quick shipping.

The manual calls for a mikuni tm38-ss. I don't see these for sale. Someone has to have some info on this. <1>
Title: replacement carb

87 zilla with 43b00 carb. I was wanting to replace my carb because slide is worn and it's time for 30 year old carb to go. My question is can I replace with the mikuni 38-85? It has correct spigot mount diameter. Would the jet sizes correspond with the 43b10 carb? Is anyone running the tm38-85 carb? Thanks for any help.
