Thanks for all of the info provided above and are you selling the 88 motor?

Pipes: Dr. Q, Jerry hall, Aaen, CT Racing, Kenny Roberts To name a few. Some builders want the bike there to make sure pipe fits bike correctly. I have a Dr. Q, have had a hand coned Q and CT hybrid pipe. All of my pipes have fitted without my bike needing to be there. Guess I have been lucky or blessed. Others I know needed the bike there.
If you need/want another 250 motor my friend has n 86 lt250 new bottom end needs top end. I have a ported 88 lt250 motor complete.
500s now reside in 250 frames and looks like one more to come.
Oh prices on hybrid pipes somewhere around 400 or 500 to 1000 that I am aware of. Mild to wild performance.

how much are the special pipes and where can i find them?

A Zilla engine will fit with some cutting and grinding. Frame needs cut for spark plug to fit and cut to be able to remove clutch cover. Custom pipe will be required. Custom front motor mounts are needed.

Hi, I'm new to the site and wanted to see what some people would suggest for my next project. I have a 1986 lt250r and wanted to do an engine swap to an engine to an engine with power valves for that real 2 stroke feeling! I wasn't sure what to do: stick with a newer 250 motor, make a hybrid 500, or use another engine. Also if possible try to leave what would be required when doing the swap: cutting the frame, making new frame mounts, anything like that.
Any input is appreciated, thanks Bob.
