Title: Re: Small amount of play in crankshaft

I ordered the cometic c7070 top end gasket set. It says its a 72mm according to the cometic website. Its all they sell I think for the 85/86.  Will this be a problem? I got All Ballz crank bearings and a complete cometic gasket kit c7070 and c3363. I also got 3 different types of crank seal seals. I got cometic, all ballz, and s&k.  Which ones would you use?

.030" = .762mm

So you're at 70.762.

The 71mm gaskets should be fine.

grab a 71mm piston.  (it will be +/- 71mm so be sure to give the piston to the machinist to bore too)

Its bored .030 over. Do i need a 71 or 72mm cometic gasket kit? Its shows different sizes.

usually go with OEM for seals, gaskets, and bearings.

I've used all balls and cometic and had good luck too.

Ok, thank you Q. Do you recommend a particular brand of bearings and seals. I have a cc seal kit already. Not sure of the brand, its definitely not suzuki. And what brand of gaskets. Just trying to fix right and flip it.

Typically it's just the bearings but it's worth inspecting since you're splitting the cases.

Bought a 86 has new topend already installed. He said it was sucking cc oil into the cylinder. I pulled the stator off and can just barely move the crank up and down. I know that is a sign of worn crank bearing. Guessing probably why the cc oil seals are bad. Does this mean my crank is also bad? Or can i just replace the crank bearings and seals, that is if the connecting rod is in good shape to the crank. The guy i bought it from said it was ok. Lol
