Title: Water Pump - Oil Seal Direction

Hi, was rebuilding my water pump (New oil seal, mechanical seal and bearing). Went to reassemble after a couple of weeks and forgot which way the oil seal was facing.  Does the double lip side (With the spring showing) face towards the oil side or the propeller side? This is on a 92 LT250R.
